The only courses with a set expiry date are our first aid courses, which remain valid for three years from the date of issue. However, we recommend renewing your certificate before it expires to stay up to date.
There is no standard validity period for safeguarding training certificates in the UK, as requirements vary across sectors and professions. For example, foster carers often need more frequent and advanced safeguarding training compared to a library volunteer. For specialist courses, renewal frequency depends on organisational policies. In the Children Looked After sector, refresher training typically ranges from every one to three years, depending on the course.
